MEAD John L. Mead, age 66, of Upper Arlington, OH, at home on Friday, August 1, 2008, of melanoma brain cancer. Born in Akron, OH to the late John and Jessie Lloyd Mead. Survived by wife, Priscilla; children, John (Marie), William (Jane), Neel (Kelly), Sarah (Peter) Volker; grandchildren, Emily, Jessica, Elizabeth, George and Gillian Mead, John and Annie B. Volker, all of Columbus; brothers, Lawrence (Kathy) of Worthington, OH, David (Ann) of Naperville, IL, Samuel (Nerina) of The Woodlands, TX; many nephews and nieces; dear friends, Chairman of Wickford Company, former owner of Little Turtle Country Club. Graduate of The Ohio State University, member of the OSU 1962 NCAA Championship Swim Team, Sigma Chi Fraternity. Past board member of First Community Church, First Community Foundation, Torch Club, Upper Arlington Zoning and Planning. Member of Varsity O and Church Circle 48.
